Trump Media and Technology Group, the company behind the social media platform Truth Social, has taken formal steps toward integrating artificial intelligence features into its app.
The company announced it has filed to trademark the names “Truth Social AI” and “Truth Social AI Search,” signaling plans to roll out new AI-powered tools on its iOS, Android, and web platforms.
According to Trump Media CEO and Chairman Devin Nunes, the goal is to transform Truth Social into a “one-stop-shop” for reliable information, “non-woke” news, and entertainment.
“Integrating AI into Truth Social will be a big push forward in our initiative to expand and enhance the platform,” Nunes said in the company’s announcement.
While specific technical details weren’t disclosed, the trademark names suggest features such as:
An AI-powered search function to help users find posts, news, or videos more easily.
Personalized content recommendations, similar to other social platforms’ algorithms.
Possible chatbot or AI assistant functions to improve user experience.
The move is part of Trump Media’s broader plan to expand its digital ecosystem, which includes:
Truth Social (the social network)
Truth+ (a streaming service for live TV and entertainment)
Truth.Fi (a financial technology brand that may offer financial services in the future)
However, the company also cautioned that these plans are forward-looking statements—meaning there’s no guarantee that the AI features will launch exactly as envisioned.
“These plans involve risks, uncertainties, and assumptions,” the company said. “Actual results may differ materially.”
Such disclaimers are typical for public companies announcing new projects.
Trump Media says its mission is to provide an alternative to what it calls “Big Tech censorship,” offering a platform for free expression without what it describes as harsh moderation or political bias.
The planned AI features suggest the company is now trying to match the technological sophistication of larger competitors while continuing to promote its promise of open speech.
If successful, the integration of AI tools could help Truth Social improve search, discovery, and user engagement, making it more competitive in the crowded social media landscape.
